Thailand-Burma Railway 1942-1945 (Other map by Stefan Zingg)
lat: 13.76 - 16.02, lon: 97.57 - 99.99 = 5.47 deg2 (Thailand)
The Thailand-Burma Railway was built by the Imperial Japanese Army between 1942-43 using prisoners of war (British, Australian, Dutch, USA) and asian labourers. During its construction more than 13000 POWs and about 90000 asian labourers lost their life.
The line between Thanbyuzayat and Namtok was dismantled after the war.

The map shows the railway, stations and camps between 1942-45 and a few present points of interest related to it (museums, cemeterys).

latest changes: improved line alignment between Thanbyuzayat and Three Pagodas
