Map list

Topographical road map of whole Cambodia. Includes city map of Phnom-Penh, location of main temples, SRTM 25m elevation curves and approximate land coverage. Based on 2005 Gecko road map as corrected by comparison with NASA pictures with some new roads drawn from personal GPS tracks. Drawing of principal roads and main secondary roads is generally very accurate. Most secondary roads and tracks have not been verified. Moreover, they are frequently impassable, especially in the rainy season and/or in forested areas. Village and river names are only indicative. Despite these imperfections, this map is at least as accurate and often much better than any available paper map. Tested with Etrex Vista C, I found it extremely useful in a recent 5000 km trip in remote Cambodia.
The IMG files can be downloaded
directly to your Garmin unit using IMG2GPS (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mdipol/img2gps) with sendmap20. Alternatively, they can be sent to Mapsource using the Mapset Toolkit by Cypherman (http://cypherman1.googlepages.com/home) with cgpsmapper (http://cgpsmapper.com/) (all freewares; many thanks for those who made these nice softwares!), and then to download to GPS receiver.
